Today our son is 47. In some ways it seems like yesterday and in others another lifetime. Anyway, I thank God for him and the joy of not only knowing a fine man but getting to enjoy his wife and our fantastic grandchildren.
Last week I went to Convivium, Lora Allison’s conference. Graham Cooke was the main speaker. That guy is so right on and real. He made a statement about the cross that got me to thinking. He said something like, Jesus’ side of the cross was His own—the job that He was sent to accomplish but our side is the other side of the cross. What’s the other side? What does it mean to take up our cross? How about taking up all the things that He purchased for us and walking out our lives in the victory that He won?

Yeah, how about that? The job was done, finished, and we're to stop worrying about it and start walkin' it.
